Live: Durham v Yorkshire Men, Vitality Blast

Yorkshire are in Vitality Blast action against Durham at the Banks Homes Riverside this evening (6.30pm). Follow this page for updates throughout the evening.

Tidy start

Durham are 7-0 after two overs, Dan Moriarty bowling another tidy opening over.

A couple near misses so far, one from Moriarty which beat Graham Clark and an Alex Lees miscue off Will Sutherland falling short of mid-on.

We’re one over through, bowled by Will Sutherland.

Durham are 3-0. Really good start for the White Rose.

Just before we get going here at the Riverside, a quick note from Headingley, where India are 350-3 in the closing stages of day one of that series. Yashasvi Jaiswal made 101 and captain Shubman Gill has 127 not out.

Work to do for England!

Good afternoon...

From the Banks Homes Riverside, where it’s a warm and sunny afternoon just like at Headingley.

This is Yorkshire’s eighth match of the North Group campaign and a game they really could do with winning. They currently have two wins from seven and need to start clawing back some points on the leading pack if they are to reach the quarter-finals.

There’s a chance for instant revenge after defeat against Durham at York on Sunday afternoon.

Durham have since been beaten, against Worcestershire at New Road on Wednesday evening. But they are in good order in the group.

There is currently a women’s Blast clash taking place between Durham and Essex. Yorkshire captain Lauren Winfield-Hill, on loan with the Chelmsford side, is playing.
