Yorkshire County Cricket Club proudly now offers a wide range of cricket coaching courses, designed specifically to suit cricketers of all ages and abilities based at the Yorkshire Indoor Cricket Centre. Whether you are a young beginner eager to learn the fundamentals of the game or an advanced player looking to take your game to the next level, our programmes provide top-level training and expertise at the home of Yorkshire cricket.
Led by experienced Yorkshire cricket club coaching staff, our programmes are focused on enhancing technique, developing new skills, building confidence, and fostering a love for the game.
We offer a variety of courses, from soft ball camps for All Star cricketers to specialised spin and fast bowling sessions for those seeking technical and in-depth coaching.
Our winter courses take place at the iconic Yorkshire Indoor Cricket Centre, based at the world-renowned cricket ground that is home to the Yorkshire cricket team, Headingley. Participants will have the opportunity to train in the same facilities as professional cricketers. This inspiring training setting is a unique opportunity available through Yorkshire Cricket Coaching and its expert and experienced staff very much look forward to passing on their expertise to cricketers of all ages and abilities.
Our coaching team uses tried and tested coaching methods including video analysis, personalised drills, and modern training techniques to help players reach their full potential. With programmes for all skill levels, from introduction to hard ball courses to elite training for those aspiring to play at a higher level, our coaches are recognised and hailed for their knowledge and method of delivery.

Courses Available
Junior Crickets
Our Junior Crickets Course is aimed at 4-8 year olds as their first introduction to Cricket. We focus on the FUN aspect of the game to capture the part of the game we all love.
Introducing Fundamental skills to start every child on their cricket journey. We cover all aspects of the game each week: Batting, Bowling, Fielding and fun Gameplay for each child to get a rounded approach and learn all the skills needed to progress while learning to fall in love with Cricket!
Festive Batting Masterclass
Our Batting Masterclass will include a mixture of hard and soft ball drills to groove technique. With the use of our Bowling machines we will put your technique to the test at higher speeds to aid further improvement.
o You can face up to our Merlyn Spin Bowling machine to begin your journey in building a strong game against high challenging spin bowling.
o All sessions will be sure to include the mental and tactical gameplay side of batting along with the technical.
The Batting Masterclass course will be on Saturday 28th and Sunday 29th December and run between 2pm until 4:30pm at the Headingley Cricket Centre. This course is suitable for those aged between 9-16.
Festive Bowling Masterclass
Our Bowling Masterclass will look in depth at bowling actions with the use of video analysis to ensure safe and efficient movements, whilst improving overall skill level.
o Players will learn new drills and practices that can be taken away to work on at home or club that will be specific to their needs.
o There will be an emphasis on Strength and Conditioning to build speed, strength and physical robustness.
The Bowling Masterclass course will be on Saturday 28th and Sunday 29th December and run between 10am until 1pm at the Headingley Cricket Centre. This course is suitable for those aged between 9-16.
Junior Development
This course is perfect for young cricketers who have adapted to hard ball cricket and are keen to enhance their skillsets and knowledge of cricket.
o The course covers all aspects of the game. We break down drills and practices to improve the basics of batting, bowling and fielding, before challenging players to execute their new skills in game situations.
o We aim to keep these sessions fun and engaging as the players continue to develop.
The Junior Development course will start on Sunday 19th January until Sunday 31st March and run between 11am and 12:30pm at the Headingley Cricket Centre. Please note that there will be no Junior Development session on Sunday 23 February.
Introduction to Hard Ball
This course is designed to develop young cricketers with mostly soft ball experience. The aim is to familiarise the players with hard balls, to a level where they can perform their current and new skills.
o Practices will vary between hard and soft balls to ensure continued development.
o Players will experience all aspects of training from, physical, tactical, mental, technical at a basic level.
The Introduction to Hard Ball course will start on Sunday 19th January until Sunday 31st March and run between 10am and 11am at the Headingley Cricket Centre. Please note that there will be no Introduction to Hard Ball session on Sunday 23 February.
Sunday Elite Under 16s
Our elite sessions are designed for experienced hard ball cricketers, aged 10+, who may have played or aspire to play representative cricket.
The sessions cover everything from technical and tactical training, basic skills that should never be neglected, to the drills the pros use at the highest level of the game.
o We also include Video Analysis to optimise individual understanding and development.
o Match day game preperation techniques to give each player the best chance of success on the field.
o Fitness and agility are at the forefront of the modern game. Players will be advised and shown how to develop their strength and physicality from the comfort of their homes.
o With innovation and expression becoming core components of the modern era, players will be encouraged to challenge the norm and train out of their comfort zones whilst utilising bowling machines and advanced coaching methods to optimise a players potential.
The U16 Sunday Elite course will start on Sunday 19th January until Sunday 31st March and run between 5pm and 7pm at the Headingley Cricket Centre. Please note that there will be no Sunday Elite session on Sunday 23 February.
Sunday Elite Under 12s
Our elite sessions are designed for experienced hard ball cricketers, aged 10+, who may have played or aspire to play representative cricket.
The sessions cover everything from technical and tactical training, basic skills that should never be neglected, to the drills the pros use at the highest level of the game.
o We also include Video Analysis to optimise individual understanding and development.
o Match day game preperation techniques to give each player the best chance of success on the field.
o Fitness and agility are at the forefront of the modern game. Players will be advised and shown how to develop their strength and physicality from the comfort of their homes.

The U12 Sunday Elite course will start on Sunday 19th January until Sunday 31st March and run between 3pm and 5pm for Under 12s at the Headingley Cricket Centre. Please note that there will be no Sunday Elite session on Sunday 23 February.
Friday Elite
Our elite sessions are designed for experienced hard ball cricketers, aged 10+, who may have played or aspire to play representative cricket.
The sessions cover everything from technical and tactical training, basic skills that should never be neglected, to the drills the pros use at the highest level of the game.

The Friday Elite course will start on Friday 17th November until Friday 28th March and run between 7pm and 9pm at the Headingley Cricket Centre. Note there is no Friday Elite course on Friday 21st February
