Tea Report
Matthew Waite broke a 182-run opening partnership between centurion Ben Slater and West Indian Kraigg Brathwaite during the opening afternoon against Nottinghamshire at Trent Bridge and struck three times in all.
Notts have reached tea on 217-3 from 64 overs, with Slater top-scoring with 109 off 184 balls.
Left-handed Slater posted his first hundred in his second appearance since signing from Derbyshire, off 162 balls with 18 fours.
Waite had ex-Yorkshire overseas right-hander Brathwaite lbw with one that angled in and caught the batsman on the crease as he fell for 71, leaving the score at 182-1 in the 57th over.
Then, in the all-rounder’s next over, he had Jake Libby the same way for one as the score fell to 188-2.
Waite removed Slater in the 63rd, caught behind down leg, as the score fell to 205-3.
The match continues to be played under floodlights.
Ben Duckett will begin the evening session on 24 and captain Steven Mullaney on four.

Lunch Report
Yorkshire have endured a wicketless opening morning against Nottinghamshire in their Specsavers County Championship match at Trent Bridge.
After stand-in captain Adam Lyth opted to bowl first, the hosts have reached lunch at 104-0 after 32 overs.
Yorkshire have made six changes from the side which lost to Somerset last week; Bresnan, Pillans, Poysden, Raval, Tattersall and Waite all in for Fisher, Hodd, Leaning, Shaw, Williamson and Willey.
One of those inclusions, Matthew Waite, put down what has so far proved to be a costly drop when he failed to cling on to a miscued Ben Slater (on six) pull at Jack Brooks moving a few yards to his left at square-leg.
Slater has gone on to reach lunch 55.
The former Derbyshire left-hander, who reached 50 off 89 balls inside the session’s final 10 minutes, has united with West Indian overseas opener Kraigg Brathwaite, who played briefly for Yorkshire at the back end of last season.
He will begin the afternoon on 43.
New ball pair Jack Brooks and Tim Bresnan beat the bat on a number of occasions with the new ball in the first half hour of play, but the White Rose have erred since.
Notts took 38 off three overs midway through the session.
David Willey is missing out due to a back injury, which means Lyth is captaining for the first time in senior cricket.
Play has taken place under floodlights for the entire morning session.

11.56am Notts have taken nine boundaries, including four leg-byes off the last three overs from Waite, Pillans and Brooks. 38 off the last three overs.

11.03am Ben Slater gets a life as he miscues a pull at Jack Brooks and is dropped by Matthew Waite at square-leg. It seemed as if Waite, who had to move a few yards to his left, was expecting to come at him quicker than it did. Slater was on six, and it’s 14-0 after 10.
10.41am An encouraging start by Yorkshire new ball pair Bresnan and Brooks, with a few plays and misses so far from Brathwaite and Slater. Notts 4-0 in the fifth.

Good morning from Trent Bridge, where it is an overcast start to the day ahead of our Specsavers County Championship match with Nottinghamshire.
The early news is that Adam Lyth will captain Yorkshire this week due to a back injury sustained by David Willey.
There will be a definite White Rose debut for New Zealand opener Jeet Raval, who has replaced compatriot Kane Williamson. Mat Pillans could also debut.
While Yorkshire have lost their last two Championship matches, Notts have lost their last three.
Both sides are part of a crowded battle to avoid the drop in Division One. Yorkshire are seventh and second-bottom, one point off safety. Notts are fourth and 26 points clear having played a game more.
