On a swelteringly hot and humid day Yorkshire won the toss and elected to bat first. A steady start of 19-0 off the first 16 balls showed little of what was to come as it soon became 44-3. A slight recovery to 70-3 soon became 72-7 and 99 all out.

Harry Duke made 23, Noah Kelly 20 however “Extras” top scored with 24. For Leicestershire, debutant, Headley finished with 5-28 from his 4 overs.

Leicestershire reached their target from 13.5 overs to win by 5 wickets – all 5 falling to Jafer Chohan who returned figures of 5-33 from his 4 overs.

Our penultimate group game is against Lancashire on Thursday 3rd July at Westhoughton Cricket Club
