The Yorkshire County Cricket Club (YCCC) is pleased to announce that registration for Yorkshire Women Open Observations is now live.

The sessions will take place at Headingley Stadium on Sunday 8th December. There are no requirements to attend the Yorkshire Women Open Observations, all you have to do is fill out this form and be over 18 years of age.

Yorkshire boasts 127 women’s and girls’ cricket clubs, as well as having 304 women’s and girls’ cricket teams, there is a wide pool of untapped local talent that is encouraged to take part in these Yorkshire Women Open Observations. With an aim to increase the number of women’s and girls’ cricket clubs in Yorkshire to 450 and grow to 1000 women’s and girls’ teams by 2029, hosting open-age observations is key in working towards the future of women’s and girls’ cricket in Yorkshire.

Richard Pyrah, Head Coach for Yorkshire Women, stated that, “this is an exciting time for women’s and girls’ cricket at Yorkshire CCC. We have a long-term vision to develop the best infrastructure within the women’s game. This initiative allows us to discover talented players and provide opportunities for women to showcase their skills as we prepare for Tier 1 cricket in 2026 and beyond.”

Those who have registered will be contacted with more information about the session once the registration window has closed on 30th November.

If you have any questions, please email Lizzie Dillam ([email protected]).
