Yorkshire Cricket is creating 10 new jobs through The Yorkshire Cricket Foundation and the government Kickstart scheme.

The job creation element of the Treasury’s economic recovery plans helps 16-24 year olds on universal credit secure fixed term contracts, for six months, in order to gain work experience and embark on a potential career.

The clubs charity will offer roles across Yorkshire Cricket, including jobs in events, marketing, operations, project management and coaching.

Will Saville, Managing Director of The Yorkshire Cricket Foundation said: “The last 12 months have been incredibly difficult for everyone, not least young people trying to gain employment. One of our key themes as a charity is education which includes employability. We are delighted to be a part of the scheme and see it as a fantastic opportunity to provide meaningful employment and experience for young people, who in turn can support Yorkshire Cricket to grow the game.”
