The Opportunity

This is a fantastic opportunity to become one of two Venue Operations Manager’s for The Yorkshire County Cricket Club. In this role, you will help oversee international and domestic cricket at the world renowned Headingley Cricket Ground, and at our outgrounds. This role will require you to be directly involved in the preparation and delivery of fixtures to ensure all matches are run safely, inclusively and are enjoyable for all those in attendance. Alongside this, you will be responsible for the facility management of the venue to help ensure that Headingley Cricket Ground is in the best possible condition it can be, meeting all statutory compliance and legislation. You will be a member of the Operations team and work with third parties, such as contractors to make sure that all the facilities are fit for purpose and meet all current health and safety legislation. You will play a key role liaising with all internal and external Headingley Stadium stakeholders.

About You

We are seeking candidates with the following experience and skills:
• At least 3 years experience of managing large events, preferably in the sport or entertainment industry (including knowledge of the Green Guide).
• At least 3 years experience of managing facilities for similar venues such as stadiums and arenas.
• A good understanding of safety, security and crowd management during events at stadium’s or arena’s.
• Previous experience of people management and managing a team.
• An understanding and experience of delivering projects within an equity, diversty and inclusion framework.
