Yorkshire have one foot in the quarter-finals after an impressive victory over Durham this evening, their fifth win in nine games.

Yorkshire won their first match of this season’s Vitality Blast, by 11 runs at the ninth attempt, and it was largely down to the brilliance of fourth-wicket pair Lauren Winfield-Hill and Sterre Kalis.

Winning the toss Yorkshire elected to bat and 35 had been added before Owen Smith was caught at fine leg for 13: Harry Duke was caught behind for 10, Fin Bean brilliantly caught at backward point for 14 and Jawad Akhtar caught behind for nought – in the 18th over we were 104-4.
