Substitution news...
Sam Cook is into this match having arrived from England’s Test squad. He has replaced Mitchell Killeen.
Killeen, however, remains a part of this game, with Essex having subbed him back in for the injured Jamie Porter.
So, basically, the long and short of it is that Cook is in for Porter, although officially it hasn’t been recorded like that.

An unbeaten half-century for this man this morning.

It’s been considered progress so far on day two, which is exactly the way to go.
Grind out the runs and then let the bowlers get to work.
Essex advance
After that early wicket for Lucy Randle-Bissell, it hasn’t been the start Yorkshire would have wanted.

Meanwhile, Essex’s women are 28-1 in the fourth over at Chelmsford.

Yorkshire’s women are facing Essex down at Chelmsford today in the Metro Bank One-Day Cup. It’s our penultimate match of the season, and we are bidding for a fourth win in 15 games.
We spoke to Adam Lyth after yesterday’s opening day, one of three fifty-makers, while we have previewed the women’s game with Rich Pyrah talking about Alice Clarke given the likelihood of her keeping wicket today with Lauren Winfield-Hill recovering from that blow to the throat at Hampshire on Sunday.
Both pieces are linked below.
The streams will be available via this page too.
Enjoy the day.
