Live: Yorkshire Women v Middlesex, MBODC

Yorkshire's women are back in 50-over action for the first time since mid-May today, a top-of-the-table clash with Middlesex at Headingley. Can the White Rose bounce back from losing the T20 final to the same opponents last Saturday? Follow this page for live updates.

Yorkshire 38-1, 9.4 overs

Amelia Oliver run out, 18.

Ah, the breakthrough comes for Middlesex courtesy of a direct hit from Gaya Gole, who takes aim at the non-striker’s end stumps with an underarm from the mid-on region.

Yorkshire’s chase of 193 has got off to a solid start. Rebecca Duckworth in now alongside Erin Thomas, who has 17.

Yorkshire 25-0, 6th over

The pursuit of 193 has got off to a very handy start.

Erin Thomas and Amelia Oliver have 12 apiece.

Jess Woolston

Yorkshire 2-0, 1st over

Up and running in pursuit of 193.

Erin Thomas and Amelia Oliver are opening the batting for the White Rose.

A win – our fourth in five games – could take us top of the table ahead of Middlesex.

Alice Davidson-Richards running laps

The England all-rounder, who is about to begin a month with the Northern Superchargers in the Hundred, is currently running laps of the outfield in the mid-innings break.

Middlesex 192-9, 50 overs

The visitors recover from 29-5 in the ninth over to bat their overs, with Pippa Sproul finishing 98 not out from 118 balls with 8x4s.

Yorkshire were given a superb start through Jess Woolston, who claimed four early wickets and finished with 5-45.

Yorkshire would have taken this at the start, but Middlesex will be thrilled with their recovery. Game on.

Middlesex 183-9, 48.4 overs

Sarah Pearson run out, 11.

Pippa Sproul tries to pinch a quick single into the covers, and her partner is short at the striker’s end via a combination of Jess Woolston and wicketkeeper Maddie Ward.

Sproul chasing century

Pippa Sproul has been excellent in recovering Middlesex from 29-5 to 180-8 in the 48th over.

She has 90 not out. If the 17-year-old stays there, you would think a maiden senior century is on the cards.

Middlesex 141-8, 41 overs

Pippa Sproul has a career best 61 to her name and has Sarah Pearson for company on 1.

Yorkshire would have taken this position at the start of the game, and have done well. But they won’t want this to get to 170-180 territory.

Middlesex 130-8, 35.5 overs

Katie Wolfe bowled Jess Woolston, 35.5 overs.

Five wickets for Woolston. Superb.

Sproul 50

Pippa Sproul has reached an impressive recovery fifty off 78 balls with 4x4s, the latter pulled off Jess Woolston.

Middlesex are now 129-7 in the 36th over.

Middlesex 95-7, 24.2 overs

Hannah Davis bowled Olivia Thomas, 11.

Yorkshire continue to chip away.

Middlesex 94-6, 24th over

Pippa Sproul has 31 and Hannah Davis 11.

Impressive recovery from the visitors, but they still have plenty to do.

Middlesex 72-6, 15.5 overs

Gaya Gole bowled Claudie Cooper, 20.

Cooper’s off-spin breaks a steadying 43-run stand between Gole and Pippa Sproul, who has 20 herself.

Middlesex 62-5, 14th over

Middlesex are trying to steady through their wicketkeeper-batter Pippa Sproul and Gaya Gole.

Claudie Cooper and Ines Blackwell in operation at present.

Middlesex 29-5, 8.4 overs

Artemis Downer bowled Ines Blackwell, 0.

Golden duck. Big in-swinger does the trick.

Blackwell strikes with her 10th ball.

Middlesex 28-4, 8 overs

Finty Trussler caught behind Maddie Ward bowled Jess Woolston, 16.

Wow. This is incredible from Woolston. Middlesex are in all sorts of bother.

Woolston 4-1-10-4.

Middlesex 26-3, 6 overs

Saskia Horley lbw Jess Woolston, 0.

What a start this is from Woolston. What a start this is for Yorkshire.

The Middlesex skipper goes.

Ines Blackwell is on now for her first bowl in senior cricket.

Middlesex 26-2, 5.2 overs

Natasha Milnes bowled Jess Woolston, 5.

Replica of the first wicket. Off-stump out of the ground.

Super stuff from Woolston, who has two wickets.

Middlesex captain Saskia Horley in now alongside Finty Trussler, who has 15.

Middlesex 6-1, 2 overs

Issy Routledge bowled Jess Woolston, 5.

Off-stump out of the ground. Absolute beauty.

Great start for Yorkshire.

Up and running...

Amelia Love with the new ball for Yorkshire.

Issy Routledge and Finty Trussler opening the batting for Middlesex.

Blackwell debuts

Ines Blackwell is an all-rounder who is on Yorkshire’s Academy, and she’s in for her debut today.

Blackwell bats in the middle order and bowls seamers. When she gets it right, she bowls big hooping in-swingers.

Yorkshire win toss and bowl

Yorkshire team: Erin Thomas, Amelia Oliver, Rebecca Duckworth, Maddie Ward c & w, Ami Campbell, Olivia Thomas, Ines Blackwell, Ria Fackrell, Jess Woolston, Claudie Cooper, Amelia Love.

Rainey not quite ready

Yorkshire have taken the decision to give new signing Hannah Rainey a bit more time before she debuts.

We can, however, confirm that there were no visa issues at play upon crossing the Pennines from Lancashire!

Yorkshire Wonen v Middlesex preview

Good morning...

From a warm and sunny Headingley.

This is match number five of nine in the group stage of the Metro Bank One-Day Cup.

Yorkshire are second having won three from four so far, Middlesex top with four wins from four.

A top-four finish is the aim for semi-final qualification.

As much as Yorkshire can advance their 50-over cause today, they can also gain some instant revenge for last week’s Vitality Blast final defeat against Middlesex at Northampton.

Yorkshire have signed Hannah Rainey, the Scottish seamer, on loan for the remainder of the season ahead of a two-year contract. But she hasn’t been named in Rich Pyrah’s squad for this fixture.

You can read our preview for the match via the link above. It does include a line about Rainey being in line to debut, but our preview was published before the squad was released.

Enjoy the day.
