Yorkshire right-handed batter Harry Brook will captain the England Men’s side for the Metro Bank ODI Series against Australia,  for the first time in Jo Buttler’s absence.

The announcement comes after England Men’s white-ball captain Buttler has been ruled out of the ODI series as he continues to recover from a right calf injury.

Leicestershire’s Josh Hull is also sidelined for the series with a quad injury. Lancashire all-rounder Liam Livingstone has been brought into the squad for the five-match series which begins as Trent Bridge on Thursday 19 September.
