I would say England are strong, without being overwhelming, favourites for the World Cup.

I’m sure we’ll finish in the top four and get through to the semi-final stage easily, but every game is a final from then onwards.

I was thinking about this the other day. Mitch Starc could quite easily get two or three out early swinging back and we could be 30-3 and struggling. But that could happen to any team.

I see the Aussies and India being our biggest threats. I don’t think there’s a massive amount of danger from anywhere else if I’m being honest.

New Zealand always produce performances and South Africa have a good bowling attack. I’m not sure whether they have the batting depth, though.

Pakistan are inconsistent. The way England dealt with them in the series just gone, I wouldn’t be worried about them. It’s a completely different story now to how it was when we lost to them in the Champions Trophy semi-final a couple of years ago.

The hype’s getting bigger every single day.
