Game 1

Heavy overnight and early morning rain didn’t affect the start time and on winning the toss Notts asked Yorkshire to bat first.

Finlay Bean and Jonny Tattersall opened the innings with the latter being caught at mid wicket for 7 (27-1); Bean was joined by Will Luxton and they added 40 in only 17 balls before Bean was bowled for 45 from 23 deliveries however Yorkshire were 68-2 at the end of the powerplay.

James Wharton was stumped for 5 but Matthew Revis joined Luxton – Luxton made 51 from 35 balls with 4 fours and a six and Revis 31 from 21 and after 15 overs we were 135-3, however the last 5 overs produced a plethora of wickets and producing only 19 runs as ended on 154-8.

Matt Milnes had Haseeb Hameed caught behind (12-1) but Martindale and McCann added 70 in 38 balls before Martindale was caught in the deep for 30. McCann went for 45 from 23 balls closely followed by Harrison for 7 but at 117-4 with 7 overs remaining Nottinghamshire needed only a further 38 runs.

As in our innings wickets fell in a bunch and they were reduced to 127-7, however George Lavelle 18 no and Lord 16 saw them through to a 2 wicket victory.
