BBC Radio Leeds and The Yorkshire County Cricket Club are to host a fans’ forum on Tuesday February 4.
The forum will be hosted and presented by The Cricket Show’s Jamie Raynor in the Taverners Suite in the Emerald Stand at the home of Yorkshire cricket. The station’s Sports Editor Jonathan Buchan and commentator Jonathan Doidge will also be present, as a panel comprised of the club’s CEO Mark Arthur, Director of Cricket Martyn Moxon, First XI Coach Andrew Gale and Club captain Steven Patterson take questions from the floor.
This event is due to start at 6:30pm and will be recorded for broadcast at a future date by BBC Radio Leeds. The Taverners Suite is able to accommodate up to 60 guests and those wishing to attend will be required to complete the below form with places allocated on a first come, first served basis.
For those unable to attend the event, you will be able to listen back by visiting BBC Radio Leeds between 6pm and 7pm on Thursday February 6.
BBC Radio Leeds’ Sports Editor Jonathan Buchan said: “We’re delighted that we’ve been able to organise this event in conjunction with the Club and it will afford cricket supporters an ideal opportunity to quiz the key personnel, charged with steering Yorkshire to success, ahead of the 2020 season.
“We continue to enjoy a great relationship with the Club who have always been proactive in ensuring our listeners get the best possible access and insight. Our Cricket Show on a Thursday night, hosted by Jamie Raynor and Jhangir Ahmed, is going from strength to strength and we have plenty of exciting plans for the coming season.
“With the Club securing the services of several big names, The Hundred set to jostle for airtime in a busy sporting summer and the Club looking to compete on all fronts, there is certainly no shortage of topics to cover on the night.”
Mark Arthur, the Club’s CEO, added: “We have always worked closely with the station and recognise that they act as a conduit between the Club and our supporters and Members.
“We always strive to be as open and honest about the direction that we are trying to take the Club in, the issues that lie ahead or stand in our way and ultimately make ourselves answerable to the Membership.
“I hope to see plenty of Members in attendance on February 4 and sincerely hope they get appropriate and thorough answers to their questions.”
The Taverners Suite can be accessed by its pitch side entrance located underneath the Emerald Lower Tier seating. This can be accessed through Car Park A on St. Michael’s Lane. Upon entering the ground head between the Headingley Pavilion and East Stand.
