The Yorkshire County Cricket Club can confirm that anyone with a 2023 Yorkshire membership will now be able to enjoy the East Stand Long Room facilities for Yorkshire and Northern Diamonds games at Headingley this year, as per previous years.

The decision has been taken to remove the requirement for members to have chosen the East Stand Long Room benefit when building their membership to access the facility.

Members that have chosen an ‘All-In’ option or the East Stand Long Room access benefit as part of their membership will be able to claim £15 off their 2024 membership if purchased before 31 January 2024. More information will be sent to members when 2024 memberships go on sale later in the year.

The Club have taken this decision following consultation with the members representatives on the Board, the Members’ Representative Group and from feedback received.

Chief Executive Officer Stephen Vaughan said: “Following feedback from members, we have taken this decision to hopefully enhance our offering here at Headingley.

“It’s important that we listen to the views of members, and it became clear this was one area that we got wrong. Whilst we are very happy with many elements of our new membership offering, and in particular the flexibility it allows supporters, it’s clear that it is not yet perfect. We are listening to our members, and will continue to do so, in the hope that we can create a membership offering that is truly for everyone.

“The feedback we have had about the East Stand Long Room has allowed us to make this change ahead of our second County Championship game here, and I hope to see many members here when we play Glamorgan next week enjoying the facilities.

“We will also be sending a survey out to our members in the coming weeks to get further feedback, which should provide really valuable insights as we start to look at our 2024 offering.”
