Warm-ups in full swing
It’s still overcast here, but we’re all set for a start on time at 11am.
Good morning....
From North Marine Road, where it’s an overcast morning ahead of day two, which is due to start at 11am.
Walking to the ground, there was a touch of rain in the air. Nothing major, though.
The expectation is that we should have a decent day weather wise. Fingers crossed.
Will Luxton was the star of the show with a superb 167 yesterday, his maiden first-class century. That helped Yorkshire end the day on 386-6.
Warwickshire, by their own admission, weren’t at their best with the ball yesterday. The dream today, with Jonny Bairstow unbeaten on 49, would be to get up to or even beyond 500 and then go from there.
You can recap yesterday via our match report and reaction pieces, the latter with opener Luxton. They are linked at the bottom of the page.
Enjoy the day.
