Never mind conquering Augusta, it's about conquering Worcester!
Good morning from Headingley ahead of day three against Worcestershire.
The weather continues to be sunny, though there is a bit more of chill in the air.
There’s a suggestion that we’re due some rain across the next couple of days, but hopefully that stays away and allows Yorkshire enough time to wrap up a deserved victory. They currently lead by 355 at 61-1 in their second innings.
On Masters Sunday, the White Rose will hope to conquer the Pears and Headingley before maybe heading home this evening to watch Rory McIlroy and a potential success at Augusta. There will certainly be plenty of golf fans in the home dressing room, for sure. Probably the away one as well!
Yorkshire were extremely dominant yesterday thanks to some excellence with bat and ball.
The likes of Jordan Thompson, Ben Coad and Jack White stood out, but more quietly the likes of Adam Lyth and George Hill had good days. Hill with a wicket and a superb slip catch, Lyth with a couple of slip catches and some late runs.
It was the archetypal team performance. Fingers crossed for more of the same today.
It will be interesting to see how long Yorkshire bat for today. Maybe a session and a bit? A target of around 500 is probably the ballpark figure.
