Nottinghamshire 37-0, 7th over

Notts have moved into a lead of 14, with Ben Slater 18 and Haseeb Hameed 13.

Will O’Rourke has come into the attack in place of Jack White from the Radcliffe Road End.

Jonny Bairstow has thrown the new ball to Dan Moriarty. Notts’ are 9-0 in the second over, trailing by 14.

Nottinghamshire 4-0 in the 1st over

Notts have just started their second innings and trail by 19.

We have a minimum of 61 overs remaining in the game

Jack White is bowling to Haseeb Hameed.

Yorkshire 510 all out, 185.3 overs

Jack White bowled Freddie McCann, 0.

McCann finishes with three wickets, and Yorkshire’s lead is 23 at lunch. Matthew Revis is 93 not out.

Yorkshire 506-9, 182.2 overs

Will O’Rourke run out, 0.

Mix-up between O’Rourke and Matthew Revis after the former got a leading edge off Haseeb Hameed’s part-time off-spin into the point region. Revis set off, O’Rourke didn’t before almost sacrificing himself at the non-striker’s end.

Yorkshire 505-8, 181.4 overs

Dom Bess stumped Ishan Kishan bowled Freddie McCann, 26.

A breezy innings is ended as he’s stumped down leg off the part-time off-spinner.

Will O’Rourke in now alongside Matthew Revis, who has 88.

Yorkshire 491-7, 177th over

The White Rose have a first-innings lead at Trent Bridge.

Matthew Revis is on 84 and Dom Bess has 16.

Yorkshire 469-7, 173.1 overs

George Hill bowled Freddie McCann, 30.

Hill is bowled by a ball which pitches way outside off-stump but hits middle. Looks like he played on.

LPW has put a shift in

Liam Patterson-White

Liam Patterson-White has bowled 62 overs in this innings, and counting.

He currently has figures of 3-146.

Only nine times in first-class history has a Nottinghamshire bowler bowled more in an innings, and this is the most an innings since 1929. That was Sam Staples against Yorkshire here in 1929. He bowled 68 overs on that occasion.

Yorkshire have moved to 465-6, deficit of 22. Matthew Revis 74 and George Hill 30.

Yorkshire continue strongly

Yorkshire have moved to 458-6 in the 170th over of their reply to 487.

Matthew Revis 73 and George Hill 24.

Hill can gain a lot

George Hill, much like Fin Bean, has had a challenging start to the season with the bat. By his own admission, he would have wanted more than the two fifties he’s scored.

So some time at the middle today and runs with it would surely do him the world of good.

He has 14 out of 437-6 in the 163rd over of the innings. Matthew Revis is 67, the pair having moved their partnership to 30.

Yorkshire trail by 50.

Quiet start to the day

Almost 15 minutes into the day, and Yorkshire have moved to 419-6, a deficit of 68, with Matthew Revis 55 and George Hill 8.

Notts are operating with spin from both ends in Liam Patterson-White and Farhan Ahmed. There is some turn, but not with any pace about it.

Yorkshire 414-6, 151 overs

Yorkshire have resumed their first-innings reply to 487.

Matthew Revis has 54 and George Hill 4.

Liam Patterson-White is bowling his 53rd over of the innings.

How do you win this game?

A draw is the most likely outcome at Trent Bridge today. But if Yorkshire had to try and engineer a win from here, how could they do it.

There are two ways. One would be to try and bat on, claim a lead and try to bowl Nottinghamshire out cheaply later in the day.

The other one could see them declare immediately overnight, try and bowl Notts out cheaply and then chase later in the day.

However, the pitch remains docile, so any positive result would be a huge surprise.

Good morning...

From Trent Bridge, where the it’s another dry and bright morning, though with plenty of cloud about. And it’s pretty warm too. Probably falls into the humid category.

Yesterday was dominated by one man, Fin Bean, who hit a stunning 224 to help Yorkshire reach 414-6 in their first-innings reply to Nottinghamshire’s 487.

The White Rose deficit is 73, with Matthew Revis at the crease unbeaten on 54 and George Hill on 4.

It’s almost certain that both sides will pick up 12 points from the draw and we will be shaking hands around 4.50pm or 5pm.

You can recap yesterday’s action via our match report and reaction pieces, which are linked in the embedded X posts above.

Enjoy the day.
