Yorkshire have lost their second Vitality Blast game of the season as Surrey claim victory by four wickets with 27 balls to spare.

Jess Jonassen claimed 3-25 but Alice Monaghan’s unbeaten 29 not out steered Surrey home despite a mid-innings wobble.

Jess Jonnassen has just finished her four overs with 3-25, as Beth Langston comes into the attack.

Surrey need 16 to win.

Holly Garton has just finished her four overs, 1-27.

She bowls McDonald-Gay for 0 – Surrey now 89-6 needing a further 45 to win.

This is a brilliant fightback by Yorkshire here.

Some positive running in the final stages from Fackrell and Slater have pushed Yorkshire along here before Fackrell is caught on the scoop for 10.

Holly Garton, who took a three-fer on debut against Nottinghamshire on Friday, pushes her first ball into the legside for one. Slater then lofts into the offisde and is caught by Scholfield for eight, from the final ball of the innings.

Yorkshire finish their 20 overs, 133 all out.

Kalis, trying to advance things along for Yorkshire is caught behind as she attempts to uppercut a short ball into the offside.

McDonald-Gay replaces Chatterji from the Kirkstall Lane nd and her first two balls are put to the sword by Thomas who has started fast here.

She pulls for four before lifting it over the leg side for a second boundary.

Thomas then edges behind but Chathli can’t hold on to it before Winfield-Hill paddles over Chathli’s head for another boundary.

Thomas starts the over driving Kalea Moore down the ground for four and then sweeps hard for a couple of singles.

From Headingley, where it’s an absolute belter of a day weather wise.

It’s our first home double header of the summer.

Our women tackle defending Blast champions Surrey.

On Friday night, we were beaten by The Blaze at Trent Bridge, while Surrey got their title defence off to a winning start against Lancashire at the Kia Oval.

That gets going at 11.30am.

Our men face Derbyshire Falcons from 3.30pm. We beat Nottinghamshire on Friday night, while Derbyshire were beaten at home by Durham.

A preview to the women’s game comes from vice captain Rachel Slater talking chiefly about 17-year-old leg-spinner Holly Garton, who claimed three wickets at Trent Bridge – Beaumont, Bryce and Elwiss. Not bad for a Tier 1 intro, hey!

The men’s preview is with Jonny Bairstow talking about his use of George Hill with the new ball and the development of James Wharton.
