Yorkshire County Cricket Club can confirm that Harry Duke will join Middlesex once his current contract runs out in October.
The wicketkeeper has been on loan with the Lords-based outfit since August, helping them triumph in the Metro Bank One Day Cup as recently as last week.
The Wakefield-born Duke played 20 times for the White Rose in first-class cricket, scoring 503 runs. His opportunities in List A cricket were more bountiful, playing 41 times and scoring 932 runs, including two hundreds.
Gavin Hamilton, General Manager of Cricket said, “We’ve always been honest with Harry about what the opportunities would be for him here at Yorkshire. His time at Middlesex on loan has been a really successful one for him personally; that is very much clear to see.
“Harry’s energy behind the stumps is hard to match across the county circuit and he remains a very talented cricketer. Everyone at Yorkshire Cricket wishes Harry the very best for the future”.
