“That’s a good win.
“I had no problem with the way we went about our batting in the first innings. I said to the lads after the first day, ‘Sometimes you have to just give the opposition credit’. I thought Luke Wood probably bowled one of the best spells he has done in his career.
“Yes, we gave them a couple of wickets out of the 10 that we lost, but the attitude and approach to it was good. It just happened that we were 13-4.
“But I thought the partnership between Tim Bresnan and Jonny Tattersall (121 for the sixth wicket) was the biggest difference in the game. They showed a lot of character and skill.
“From there, we drove the game.
“Keshav’s (Maharaj) been huge for us. I think one of the lads just said he’s got 28 wickets in four games. When you get a total like that on the board second innings and there’s a bit in the pitch, having a world-class spinner is massive.
“Kent sort of messed it up (Yorkshire’s title hopes) against Essex. All we can do is control what we’re doing. We’re playing some good cricket in this format.”

Lunch Yorkshire are on the verge of victory against Nottinghamshire at Scarborough after prising out four final morning wickets.
South African Test spinner Keshav Maharaj struck twice, taking his innings-tally to four wickets, as he continues his excellent recent form.
Half-centuries for Ben Duckett and unbeaten fledgling all-rounder Liam Patterson-White (55) underpinned some early Notts resistance before two wickets fell in the last 10 minutes of the regular session.
Set 387 to win their first Specsavers County Championship match of the season, Notts started the day on 135-4 and have reached lunch, delayed by 15 minutes to try and finish the game, at 238-8 from 77 overs.
Duckett resumed on 47 and reached 50 off 71 balls in the day’s first over having offered a return catch to Ben Coad a couple of balls earlier.
He then fell for 75, caught at point off a leading edge against Duanne Olivier, before Tom Moores turned Maharaj’s left-arm spin to short-leg, with Will Fraine taking his second catch of the morning.
That left Notts at 187-6 in the 59th over.
Patterson-White, a 20-year-old from Sunderland, shared 78 for the fifth wicket with Duckett.
In only his third game, Patterson-White reached his maiden fifty off 98 balls with an arrow straight six off South African Maharaj inside the final half hour of the morning.
Tim Bresnan’s third ball of the day brought the wicket of Paul Coughlin, caught at second slip by Adam Lyth as he tried to leave alone, with Notts now 218-7 in the 70th over.
Shortly before, Coughlin had been struck on the helmet by an Olivier bouncer.
Maharaj then picked up his fourth wicket of the innings by bowling Luke Wood with a sharp turner – 219-8 in the 71st.
Patterson-White will begin the afternoon alongside Luke Fletcher, who has 13.
The new ball will be due three overs after lunch.

Good morning from Scarborough, where it is a cloudy start to the morning, bringing, fingers crossed, ideal bowling conditions.
Yorkshire start the day needing six wickets to beat Nottinghamshire and claim their fifth win of the season. Notts, on the other hand, need 252 more to overhaul their 387 target. They will resume on 135-4.
Keshav Maharaj, who claimed two of those wickets, last night said the pitch is getting better and Yorkshire will have to remain patient.
If, as expected, they do win, Yorkshire would go into the final three rounds of fixtures 37 points behind leaders Essex.
