The Yorkshire County Cricket Club is delighted to announce that Yorkshire’s leading airport, Leeds Bradford Airport, is to become an official Club Partner.
The partnership will include a branded perimeter board, as well as several exciting competitions and prizes throughout the 2018 season.
Andy Dawson, Yorkshire’s Commercial Director, said: “There is a great deal of synergy between these two big Yorkshire brands and, as a Club, we are very excited about welcoming Leeds Bradford Airport on board a partner of the Club.
“Being based on the flightpath, we can testify that the LBA has enjoyed substantial growth in recent years and are a key contributor to our regional economy. It is our hope that both parties enjoy a mutually beneficial relationship and a highly successful 2018.”
Leeds Bradford Airport is located just six miles northwest of Leeds and six miles east of Bradford and serves the wider Yorkshire region and its circa 5 million population.
In public ownership until May 2007, the airport is now owned by AMP Capital and over 4 million passengers passed through during 2017.
Phil Forster, Aviation Development & Corporate Affairs Manager, said: “We are delighted to sign up to become the latest partner of Yorkshire County Cricket Club.
“Our goal is to create an airport that Yorkshire can be proud of, and with a number of ongoing developments, including new routes and new terminal facilities, it’s fantastic to partner up with one of the region’s key stakeholders.
“These are exciting times for the airport and we look forward to developing our partnership with the club over the coming season.”
