The final day at Taunton began with an emphatic boundary from Tom Loten. However, three balls later, Loten was trapped lbw for 12, leaving Yorkshire 67-2 with a lead of 55.

Overseas signing Jeet Raval made his second half century of the game from 72 balls, but was caught at first slip for 56 from 111 balls.

Jordan Thompson and Matthew Waite added 56 in 59 balls before the former was caught behind for 24 from 30 balls. First innings centurion Ben Birkhead came to the crease, but shortly after Waite was caught at slip for 42 from 63 balls. Yorkshire went into lunch at 167-5, leading by 155 runs with 66 overs remaining.

Somerset applied early pressure in the second session as Birkhead was bowled in the third over after lunch, and at 174-6, the game was in the balance. Skipper Jared Warner joined Ed Barnes and with both showing great fight and determination, they were unbeaten at tea and had advanced the total to 221, a lead of 209.

This partnership continued in the last session of the game and with the score at 282- 6, Yorkshire declared and the match was drawn. Warner and Barnes’ partnership ended on 108 from 282 balls, Warner finishing unbeaten on 54 from 136 balls and Barnes 50 from 155 balls.
