Scorecard

The day started with thick fog slowly clearing in order that the game started on time. After winning the toss, Yorkshire asked the hosts to bat first.

Matthew Revis removed Cooke, bowled for five, but Friend and Bevan advanced the score to 71 before Friend was well caught at second slip by Revis from Ben Cliff’s bowling. Friend was replaced by Billy Root and he and Bevan were not out at lunch with the score 111-2. Root had made 15 when he was caught at short leg by James Wharton off Harry Sullivan. In the next over, Revis got rid of Bevan for 67 from 97 balls, his half century coming from 55 balls.

On what was now a very hot afternoon, Taylor and Cullen added 89 in 175 balls before, on the verge of tea, Taylor was run out for 59 from 80 balls with 10 fours. Tea was taken at 210-5.

The first over after tea brought another run out and shortly after Yash Vagadia pulled off a stunning caught and bowled, leaving Glamorgan 233-7.

The new ball was taken at 252-7 but Dominic Leech struck immediately and this became 272-9. However, in a frustrating period, Yorkshire were unable to finish the innings and at the close Glamorgan were 307-9

Bonus points: YCCC 3, Glamorgan 3
