Resuming at 115-1 Yorkshire advanced to 187 before James Wharton was caught behind for 75 from 118 balls-he had reached his 50 from 67 balls.

Trialist, Andy Umeed reached his 50 from 103 balls with 8 fours and at lunch he and Will Luxton had taken the score to 225. Umeed departed in the second over after lunch for 62 from 125 balls and Luxton was joined by Harry Duke and they were still together at the crease at tea adding an unbroken 140 in 183 balls – Luxton 74 not out (his 50 came from 84 balls) and Duke 81 not out from 98 balls (his 50 came from 61 balls ) – Yorkshire 374-3.

Again the second over after a break brought a wicket with Duke caught behind for 82. Tom Loten came to the wicket and he was caught at mid wicket for 13 and Yorkshire subsided from 419-5 to 464-9 at the close of play but not before Will Luxton completed his maiden Second Eleven century taking 159 balls and including 12 fours and a six – he was finally caught behind for 121 from 182 balls.

Yorkshire enter day three leading by 195 runs.
