Under 18s Three Day Championships at Weetwood (Monday 15 August 2022 to Wednesday 17 August 2022).

In their three day Championship match this week, Yorkshire under 18 batsman Noah Kelly scored a magnificent double century as he finished on 222 not out from 273 balls with 30 fours and a six Yorkshire declared their first innings on 450 for 7 from 102 overs.

He arrived at the crease in the 4th over and faced 273 balls (which included 30 fours and 1 six. His 50 came from 80 balls, 100 from 143 balls, 150 from 205 balls. Yorkshire under 18s finished the first day on 365 for 7 with Kelly on 168 not out (236 balls) with 21 fours and 1 six.

When play restarted on the second day Noah Kelly reached his double century from 263 balls. Other contributions in the excellent total of 450 for 7 came from Will Bennison 58 (99 balls), Jack Luxton 40, Clarke Doughney 56 (90 balls) and George Booth 39 not out.

Noah Kelly added 113 runs for the 3rd wicket with Will Bennison, another 113 runs with Clarke Doughney for the 7th wicket and an unbroken 8th wicket partnership of 118 with George Booth.
Derbyshire were bowled out for 287 in their first innings, with captain Callum Hawkins 133 from 190 balls top scorer. Charlie McMurran 3 for 52 from 13 overs and Jack Luxton 4 for 81 from 17 overs did the damage.

After being asked to follow on in their second innings, Derbyshire under 18s managed to bat out the final day with the match drawn as they finished on 279 for 5 from 96 overs with Wade Veitch 72 not out (109 balls).
