The Yorkshire County Cricket Club (YCCC) is pleased to announce that registration for the Yorkshire Regional Cricket Boys’ Observation Days for 2024/25 is now open.

Regional Observation Days are the primary entry point for young cricketers to join the YCCC Performance Pathway and are intended for all boys who wish to be observed for a place at Regional level.

Last season, Regional Observations saw roughly 1600 boys in attendance across the county, with over 400 going on to play Regional Cricket. Regional Cricket sits one step below County Age Group cricket, with teams from each of Yorkshire’s four Regions competing against each other as well as against neighbouring counties and travelling to our very own Ampleforth Festival during the summer.

Boys’ Regional Observations, from now on, will commence in November, prior to the winter training programme. Those successful at the Observations will take part in a full winter programme and then be considered for selection for the 2025 summer Regional squads.

Regional Observation Days are open to any boy in the U10-U15 age groups to attend.
