The Yorkshire Cricket Foundation is keen to build on the legacies of its recent HLF/NLHF funded projects.

It wants to work with local cricket clubs to harness the power and relevance of their unique cricket heritage – memorabilia, photographs, scorecards, equipment – helping and equipping them with the skills to uncover, preserve and celebrate this valuable asset, and, most importantly, and to use it to create educational resources and reminiscence programmes for the benefit of all who live in the communities they serve.

Many of these clubs represent the oldest examples of ‘living heritage’ in their vicinity and have some fantastic stories to tell, as a result. This project will help to reposition these clubs meaningfully at the heart of, and to support, their communities whilst creating an even stronger bridge between the county club and local people throughout Yorkshire using cricket heritage as the catalyst.

In order to help us achieve our ambition, the YCF have set up a crowdfunding page. You can find out more about our project there and please feel free to give what you can to support our ambition – and don’t forget to tell your friends, family and colleagues too!
