It’s time to vote for your Sport Breaks Northern Diamonds Player of the Month for August, a month which saw the Diamonds secure a home semi final in the Rachael Heyhoe Flint Trophy.

The candidates

Rachel Slater
Rachel Slater helped secure Diamonds the victory against Southern Vipers at Headingley by standing her ground with the bat alongside Katie Levick for a final ball win. Scoring 18 not out, Slater and Levick managed to steer the Diamonds to sitting top of the table ahead of the Rachael Heyhoe-Flint Trophy semi-finals.

Phoebe Turner
Phoebe Turner took figures of 6-20 in the Diamonds game against Thunder away at Southport on September 1st. In 9 overs, Turner bowled 3 maidens and took 6 wickets, including 5 bowled and one caught behind by wicketkeeper Lauren Winfield-Hill.

Rebecca Duckworth
Rebecca Duckworth posted an impressive 51 runs against Southern Vipers at Headingley on Wednesday, alongside contributing to the Diamonds’ tight victory with a stunning direct hit to dismiss Georgia Elwiss.

Sterre Kalis
Dutch batter Sterre Kalis scored a century for Northern Diamonds against Thunder, hitting 100 runs in just 95 balls. Kalis brought up her century with 17 4s and had a strike rate of 105.26.
