An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Yorkshire Cricket Board as Community Development Officer for Kirklees.

Yorkshire Cricket has secured funding from the ECB to better understand how communities in Kirklees, that have a heritage and history connected to the South Asian countries of Pakistan, India, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka wish to watch, play, coach and officiate in cricket. Applicants need a sound knowledge and understanding of diverse communities and cultures and recreational cricket; a commitment to increase player retention and participation at all levels; proven managerial and administrative competencies; together with excellent communication skills. Knowledge and experience of cricket would be advantage but the role is not a coaching one.

The successful applicant will be employed by the Yorkshire Cricket Board but will work under the Yorkshire Cricket banner, which includes the Yorkshire County Cricket Club and the Yorkshire Cricket Foundation.

The post is full-time, working predominantly within the Kirklees communities with access to office facilities at the Emerald Headingley stadium. A full current UK driving license is required. The job description for the post can be downloaded from below.
