Six of Yorkshire’s Under 15 players have been selected to represent the North of England at this year’s Bunbury Festival, which runs between the 31st July and the 5th August in Loughborough. Bunbury is a Festival with matches the best U15 cricketers from across the Country against each other in four groups – North, Midlands, London & East and South & West.

Each squad is made up of 14 cricketers, with this year’s North of England team being made up of six from Yorkshire, four from Lancashire, two from Durham and two from Cheshire.

Those selected from Yorkshire are as follows:
• Ibrahim Ahmed – Cleckheaton CC
• Will Bennison – Sheriff Hutton Bridge CC
• Ed Burch – Hallam CC
• Tom Fraine – Sedburgh CC
• Owen Smith – Barnsley Woolley Miners CC
• Joe Thompson – South Milford CC

James Martin, Yorkshire’s Head of Boys Performance Pathway said “We’re extremely proud to see Ibrahim, Will, Ed, Tom, Owen and Joe selected for the North of England this year. We have a great group of U15 cricketers coming through at Yorkshire and it was really encouraging to see these six lads selected, but also know that we had a good number of others challenging for places in the 14-man squad too.

“We believe we have a great depth of ability in our Pathway and we hope to keep growing this in future. All our team at Yorkshire wish our players the best of luck at Bunbury. Enjoy every minute!”
