Trailing by 156 overnight, the follow-on figure was soon passed and the 7th wicket fell at 196 when Vagadia was bowled for 12. Ben Cliff and Mukherjee added 41 in 95 balls before Cliff was caught at short cover off a leading edge for 8. Mukherjee made 36 from 64 balls but he was caught at mid off with the total on 238.

Harry Sullivan and Sam Wisniewski took the total to 261 before the former was caught behind – we had a first innings deficit of 82.

Tight bowling kept the run rate in check as Dominic Leech and Tom Loten both took a wicket and Glamorgan were 37-2. Cooke and Root added 42 in 90 balls before we struck with 7 wickets in a little over 12 overs to reduce our hosts to 94-9.

Twenty minutes were lost to a shower after tea and bad light called a halt to play with 9 overs remaining but Glamorgan’s last pair had added 31 in 68 balls to leave them 125-9, a lead of 207.
