Here is all of the information spectators will need ahead of the upcoming England vs Australia ODI on Saturday 21st September.

Gates Opening  

Access will be via both Kirkstall Lane and St Michael’s Lane. Spectators will also be able to access the ground via Gate E towards the bottom of St Michael’s Lane before the bridge.

Gates – 9am

We encourage supporters to arrive at the ground in good time to avoid waiting in long queues.

Hours of Play

The scheduled hours of play are as below:

First Innings – 11am-14.30pm

Interval – 14.30-15.00pm

Second Innings – 15.00-18.30pm

Tickets

This game is now sold out.

Supporters that opted for thermal tickets should have received them through the post. Those supporters who opted for the ‘Print at Home’ option can download their tickets via the ‘My Tickets’ tab on their ticketing account. The can then either print them or scan the barcode on their phone.

GETTING TO HEADINGLEY

Parking

For those who do not wish to take public transport, parking is available at Beckett’s Park (LS6 3PW) as part of the Park and Stride operation.

Parking is at a cost of £10 per car and £15 per minibus. There will be a card machine but due to signal, we advise bringing a cash alternative.

On the day parking is also available in Car Park K at the Elida Gibbs Park priced at £10 per car.

Pre-Booked blue badge parking only will be in Car Park F where buggies will transfer spectators up to the turnstiles. Further information is below.

Please be aware that the buggies will not operate until St Michael’s Lane has re-opened to allow for the safe exit of all spectators.

Buses

Spectators are asked to note that for this fixture, there is no Root66 bus in operation by First Bus.

Buses 19, 19A and 56 drop spectators directly outside the pavilion on Kirkstall Lane. Spectators can also be dropped at Headingley Arndale Centre on buses 1, 6, 8, 27 and 28 and walk down North Lane towards the ground.

Changing Place Facility

We have a changing place facility in the Howard Stand at the South side of the ground. Spectators who may need the use of this facility are encouraged to bring their own radar key. Alternatively, these can be accessed via your nearest steward. The facility includes:

  • A Hoist (Please bring your own sling).
  • Grab rails by the toilet and sink
  • A mounted flushing lever.
  • Backrest
  • Full-length mirror
  • Emergency assistance alarm fitted to floor level
  • Bench
  • Shower and shower curtain.
  • Non-Slip Floor
  • Sanitation bins

The nearest turnstiles to access this stand are at the St Michael’s Lane entrance.

Multi-Faith Room

The Club’s Multi-Faith Room is located at the entrance of the East Stand, easily accessible from the St Michael’s Lane turnstiles. Please remove your shoes when entering the facility. Foot baths are available – please bring your own sliders.

We recommend you bring anything that you may require to fulfil your reflective time in our multi-faith space. East is indicated on the ceiling. The room is available to people of all faiths, and we ask that you respect everyone when using these facilities. If you have any further questions on a matchday, our stewards at the entrance of the East Stand will be happy to assist.

Buggies

Buggies will be in operation for people who may need them from Car Park F to the turnstiles on St Michael’s Lane. . When the road opens, they can be found outside the ticket office on St Michael’s Lane.

RESPECT

The Club has a Respect Campaign in place for those attending any Yorkshire and England games at Headingley, Scarborough and York. If you have suffered or witness any anti-social behaviour at the match, please text the word RESPECT to 60650. Spectators are able to report this anonymously to a member of the team here at Headingley in person via your nearest steward.

There is no place for anti-social behaviour in cricket or in wider society and the Club operates a zero-tolerance policy towards all anti-social behaviour.

RETAIL

Our Club Shop on St Michael’s Lane will open from 8.30am, allowing you to choose from a range of Yorkshire CCC, England, Northern Diamonds or Northern Superchargers merchandise. Our club shop at the Kirkstall Lane entrance will open in line with gates, with other retail outlets available around the concourse.

Yorkies

Our Yorkie volunteers will be around the ground and able to help out with any queries spectators may have and will be on hand to direct you to seats if needed.

Food and Drink

There will be a large variety of food and drink options available at the game. Please be aware that alcohol is not permitted to be brought into the ground in any circumstances. Further guidance on what is permitted can be found in our Ground Regulations.

Face The Future

Online skincare destination, Face the Future, will be giving out samples of sunscreen around the concourse and raising awareness of sun protection alongside their charity partner, The British Skin Foundation. Keep your skin safe as you watch the match and don’t forget to slap that SPF on! They’re also giving out free caps from their stall at the East Stand to wear if you’re seeking extra shade in the ground.

Alzheimer’s Society

Cricket should be unforgettable, but sadly for around one million people living with dementia, that isn’t the case. Yorkshire CCC is proud to be partnering with Alzheimer’s Society to raise awareness of dementia and encourage fans with any questions about the condition to visit Alzheimer’s Society’s Information Stand in the Howard Stand Lower Concourse. Fans will also be able to support the charity’s work by donating to fundraising collectors around the ground.

Uber Eats

Our Official Partners Uber Eats are giving you the option to order food from any of their outlets and have it delivered for collection at the Stadium.

To do so, simply head to the Uber Eats app on your phone and select ‘Yorkshire Cricket Ground’ as your location and use the ‘St Michaels Lane’ address pin. You will be notified when your food is close to arriving and can then head to the collection point which is located just above the turnstiles on the St Michaels Lane side of the ground. Look for the big green flag!

Stewards will allow you to leave through the stadium gates to meet your delivery driver to collect your order. Please note, orders will be security checked on your way back into the ground.

Orders can only be made for collection within the ground half an hour after the game begins and half an hour before scheduled close of play. Please note, if the game is delayed, the hours of operation will remain as per the planned timings of the game.

Yorkshire Cricket Museum

The Yorkshire Cricket Museum, located behind the East Stand will be open from gates until the start of play.

Scorecards will be available and cost £1 each with all proceeds going to the Yorkshire Cricket Foundation.

Alcohol Free Stands

Spectators should note that the block R of the North East Lower stand is our designated Alcohol Free stand. If you are sat in this block and wish to drink, you can do so within the concourse behind the block.

Inclement Weather

Spectators are urged to consider the weather forecast before making their journey to Headingley. As Headingley is an open-air stadium, consideration must be given to sheltering from the rain or extreme heat. We encourage spectators to consider all weather conditions by bringing an umbrella, sun cream and their own bottled water (only sealed bottles are permitted into the venue).

Umbrellas are permitted (no larger than a golf umbrella) and providing they are deemed safe by the safety and security team upon ingress. Umbrellas with a pointed metal tip are not permitted.

Raincheck Policy

Spectators are reminded that in the event of inclement weather prior to the game starting, any decision on the prospects of play will not be made by the Club, but the umpires. Should the Club need to communicate any prospects of play, this will be done at the earliest opportunity once the requisite information has been relayed to the Club by the umpires.

Pass Outs

Pass Outs will be available 30 minutes after the start of play until 30 minutes after the interval. Once a pass out has been taken, please expect to re-join a queue upon re-entry and experience the same procedures and ticket checks as upon your first arrival. You will need both the pass out and your match ticket to re-enter. 

What is the minimum age for a fan to attend a game alone?

The minimum age for a child (anyone under the age of 18) to attend an event unaccompanied is 14 years old. Children under 14 must be accompanied by a responsible adult*. It is the responsibility of the ticket purchaser to check before buying tickets that they comply with these age restrictions. Whilst there is a minimum age restriction in place, parents/carers are responsible for deciding whether their child (aged 14-17) needs to be accompanied by a responsible adult based on their general developmental maturity and their awareness of potential risks.

*A responsible adult is aged 18 or older, with the capacity to make decisions that are in the best interests of a child and actively supervises them.
