Rocky Flintoff will take part in The Hundred this season after being selected by the Northern Superchargers in The Hundred Vitality Wildcard Draft.

Flintoff, 17, one of the most promising prospects in the English game currently, will join up with his father Andrew Flintoff who is Head Coach of the Headingley based team, Northern Superchargers.

Joining him in The Hundred 2025 this season at Northern Superchargers will be James Fuller. The Hampshire all-rounder has impressed with ball in hand during this season’s Vitality Blast having previously played in The Hundred at both Southern Brave and Birmingham Phoenix.

Head Coach Lisa Keightley, picked up both Katherine Fraser and Sophia Turner as Wildcard picks for the Women’s tournament, with both players returning to Headingley, a ground they know well having both played for Northern Diamonds.

Elsewhere, Sir James Anderson, 42, an England great and one of the finest bowlers to ever play the game, was selected by Manchester Originals, alongside Esmae MacGregor, leading wicket taker in the Women’s Vitality Blast.

32 names were drafted in The Hundred Vitality Wildcard Draft, representing the final updates to the 16 squads ahead of the fifth year of The Hundred.

The Hundred Vitality Wildcard Draft gives an opportunity to players previously unselected in The Hundred to earn selection through outstanding performances in the Vitality Blast men’s and women’s competitions across the first three months of the domestic season.

Northern Superchargers kickstart their tournament at home to Welsh Fire on Thursday 7th August with 50% of tickets already sold for this fixture, before travelling to Trent Rockets on 10th August.
