Yorkshire Women’s CCC first team fixtures released as new First Team Head Coach Mark Harrison announced.

Yorkshire Women’s CCC have six competitive T20s scheduled for 2022, with the prospect of progressing to a Finals Day on Sunday 8 May. New Head Coach Harrison has also organised two friendlies against Leeds Bradford University and is hoping to add further fixtures to the schedule.

Harrison takes up the Head Coach role having worked for five years in the county age group system and coached the women’s second eleven since 2019. More recently, the level three qualified coach has assisted with the first team and the Northern Diamonds Academy.

Looking ahead to the season, Harrison said: “My role as the women’s Head Coach is to improve the players through training and fixtures with a view of developing them into the future Northern Diamond players.

“Hopefully, this year’s program will be more meaningful than previous seasons as we are looking to organise more fixtures and use some of the younger players to gain valuable experience from the current first team.

“For me, in this process the winning is a bonus and developing the players is my primary objective.”
