Darren Lehmann selects some of the best international and domestic stars including Aaron Finch and Mujeeb Ur Rahman in The Hundred Draft.
Last night, at The Hundred Draft, Northern Superchargers welcomed 14 new players to the men’s team. Darren Lehmann went head-to-head with seven competing Head Coaches to select the very best players to represent the Leeds-based team in The Hundred next summer.
Chosen from a 570-strong player pool, Australian international Aaron Finch was the first player picked. Joining him is Afghanistan spinner Mujeeb Ur Rahman and Australia’s Chris Lynn, who were picked from the international player pool.
Lehmann quickly snapped up Adam Lyth and Richard Gleeson, joining existing teammates, England international Ben Stokes, fellow England World Cup winner Adil Rashid and destructive all-rounder David Willey, who were selected in the first stage of the draft process, earlier this month. The men’s team, based at Emerald Headingley, will face seven other teams in the competition when it starts in Summer 2020.
