Fine knock.
He faces one more ball, moves to 103 not out and then declares on 351-5.
Yorkshire will face, in theory, 29 overs before close.

Interesting to see how Hampshire play this one.
They are clearly on course to declare. But when does it come?
Jake Lehmann 39 and Ben Brown 35 have added 59 for the fifth wicket.
We still have more than 53 overs remaining today and all of tomorrow. But surely the weather will intervene at some point.
Dom Bess catches Sonny Baker this morning, off Logan van Beek.

Bess has actually just come into the attack, and his first ball has been hoisted for six over wide long-on by Ben Brown, who has helped Hampshire ti 172-4 in the 50th over, a lead of 247.
The Hampshire captain (16) is in partnership with Jake Lehmann (35). They have put on 30 so far.

Tom Prest run out, 53.
Jake Lehmann drills a low full toss from Logan van Beek back down the pitch and the bowler deflects it onto the stumps. Two stumps out of the ground.
Yorkshire keep chipping away, though they could do with three more quickly to really feel like they’re right back in it.
Hampshire lead by 216.
Prest 50
Tom Prest has reached his fifty off 60 balls with 7x4s.
Hampshire 137-3 after 41 overs, leading by 211.

Resumption imminent
The players are out warming up in the sunshine ahead of a 1.40pm restart.
More hopeful scene
The only cover in place is the one on the cut strip.
The rain has stopped. So, fingers crossed, we may have some cricket soon.
Having said that, we’ve been here before!
The rain has returned
It’s going to be one of those days. That 12.45pm restart has been canned.
Lunch will be taken at 1pm.
Restart at 12.45pm
The rain has blown through once more, and we’re due to restart in just under 15 minutes.
We have lost 17 overs in total so far from the day’s allotted 104.
Oh you're joking....
The players get out to the middle, and George Hill is at the top of his mark. But the rain returns.
12.15pm restart
The rain has disappeared, and the good news is that we have a restart in just over 10 minutes.
We have lost 9 overs from the day’s allocation.
Raining much harder now
We could be in for a decent sized delay here. The rain, which seemed to resemble a passing shower, has turned into something more sustained.
Rain: Hampshire 119-3, 37.1 overs

Hampshire 101-2, leading by 175.
More illness in camp - Cliff in for White

Play set to start at 11am
Although it’s pretty chilly this morning, the sun is out at Headingley, where 104 overs are scheduled for the day.
Good morning...
From Headingley, where it’s dry at the moment.
I was also going to say bright as well, but then I looked up from the laptop to see a dirty cloud lingering right overhead. With that in mind, it wouldn’t be a surprise to see some rain shortly.
As things stand, the covers remain on the cut strip and the bowlers’ run-ups.
Yorkshire have work to do to get back into this match when play does begin – hopefully at 11am, 104 overs in the day – having reached the halfway mark with Hampshire ahead by 167 with eight second-innings wickets in hand.
They will begin today on 93-2.
Having been bright with the ball on day one, Yorkshire struggled with the bat in being bowled out for 177 in their first-innings reply to 251. They can’t afford to struggle second time around.
