Oh no, that’s a key wicket for Notts as the left-arm spinner gets one to turn against Malan.

Rain has stopped play

Lunch will be taken, with Nottinghamshire 318-6, leading by 387.

With the strength of the wind here at Headingley today, the ground-staff aren’t able to put the full covers on the ground today. Having said that, it’s not required as the rain has passed through already.

Nottinghamshire 315-6, 85.1 overs

Kyle Verreynne caught Adam Lyth bowled Jack White, 24.

Caught at second slip, with Notts leading by 384.

The sun’s out now, though. There is a strong breeze too.

Good morning...

Good morning from Headingley, where it’s cloudy but bright and there has been some overnight rain.

Yesterday wasn’t the ideal day for our two senior teams to say the least. Yorkshire’s women were beaten by 10 wickets against Warwickshire in the quarter-final of the Vitality County T20 Cup up at Weetwood, the Bears chasing down 139.

Our men were on the wrong end of the second day of the ongoing Championship match against Nottinghamshire.

Notts closed on 227-3 in their second innings, leading by 296 with Joe Clarke unbeaten on 73.

Yorkshire are going to have to have a wicket-filled morning to give themselves any hope of chasing a target. Somewhere in the region of 350-375, maybe? Notts will hope it is much more.
