Minute's silence
There has just been a minute’s silence in memory of the former Gloucestershire and England fast bowler David ‘Sad’ Lawrence, who passed away on Sunday following a well-documented battle with MND. All of our thoughts after with his friends and family.
Headingley heroics again?
There’s been many a memorable finish in Test Matches at Headingley down the years, and the ongoing clash between England and India is building up to be a cracker. India, who were leading by six on first innings, are 90-2 second time around.
KL Rahul is 47 not out and Shubman Gill six.
Bairstow loves the Bridge

There are only three grounds at which Jonny Bairstow has scored 1,000 or more first-class runs in his career, and Trent Bridge is one of them.
His record here stands at 15 first-class matches for Yorkshire or England, including Tests, 1,052 runs scored at an average of 50.09 with two centuries and five fifties.
One of those centuries was his first in first-class cricket, 205 in the first innings of a high-scoring draw in May 2011.
The other two venues at which he has topped 1,000 career first-class runs are fairly obvious. Headingley is one (3,350 in 50 appearances) and Scarborough the other (1,158, 13 appearances). He also averages above 50 at both of those venues.

Good morning...
We’ve been greeted by sun and clouds at Trent Bridge this morning, where it’s quite breezy too ahead of day two.
Players from both sides are in the nets warming-up ahead of a day which begins with Nottinghamshire 298-6.
You would have to say that Notts hold the advantage at present with nearly 300 on the board on a used pitch and with a set batter at the crease in Indian overseas debutant Ishan Kishan, who has 44. However, Yorkshire were excellent in fighting back from 90-0 to limit things yesterday afternoon and evening.
A good second day and they can find themselves in decent shape at the halfway stage of the contest.
We will have 96 overs scheduled for the day.
George Hill and Dan Moriarty claimed two wickets apiece yesterday, with Notts’ opener Ben Slater top-scoring with 96.
For a more in-depth recap on the day one action, you can read our match report and reaction via the embedded X posts above.
We will be underway at 11am. Enjoy the day.
