Yorkshire all-rounder David Willey said:
“I think we’re probably just favourites at the minute.
“We scrapped well with the bat to get something to bowl at, and there’s still plenty in the pitch. If we can create six chances tomorrow, we’re in with a really good chance.
“It’s hard work with the bat, there’s no denying that. There’s one with your name on.
“Northants will always have a fond place in my heart. I grew up there as a kid, made my debut and played a lot of cricket for them.
“But I don’t actually know many of their lads who are playing now. David Ripley was Academy coach when I first started there.
“I know Rips well, and I always seem to do alright against them, which he hates!”

Unfortunately, Bess fell lbw to Ben Sanderson for 32 four balls into the morning’s final over, giving the visitors the upper hand once more.

Good morning from Emerald Headingley.
It is an overcast morning at HQ ahead of day three of this fast moving Championship fixture.
Yorkshire are on the back foot at 43-3 in the second innings, leading by 15.
The first two days have been mixed, with both sides enjoying periods of success but also encountering problems in challenging batting conditions.
If the White Rose can engineer a lead in the region of 200, then confidence will be high that a third win from four Group Three matches can be achieved.
Gary Ballance is unbeaten in the early stages of his innings with nightwatchman Steve Patterson for company.
At one wicket down last night, I was preparing to write the end of day report up suggesting Yorkshire had the edge. But two further wickets has definitely swung this game Northants way.
Fingers crossed, this morning proves more settled in terms of batting.
The live stream is available once more for this 104-over day. We get underway at 11am. Enjoy.
