Yorkshire County Cricket Club is delighted to announce its Academy and Emerging Player Programme (EPP) cohort for 2027.
A total of 46 players have been selected across both programmes, with the next generation of Yorkshire cricketers set to start their winter programme over the next couple of weeks.
Selection for the Academy and the EPP is the product of some exceptional hard work on the part of the all those who have been selected. For 2027, there has been an 85% increase in the number of boys selected for the EPP..
James Martin, Head of Pathway at Yorkshire Cricket said, “We’re proud to unveil this group of players stepping up to our Academy and Emerging Player Programme.
“A huge thanks must go to every player and their families for their backing and energy that they have shown throughout. Getting to this stage took a collective effort from not just the players themselves, but the people around them and their Club’s, all of whom have pulled together to get these players ready for the step up.
“We see this as a journey, not a one-off moment, and we’re pleased to carry on developing a group of genuinely talented youngsters.
“Everyone should feel proud of how far they have come. If they keep working hard and stay committed, I’m certain the best is still ahead for our Academy and EPP and we’re looking forward to watching every one of them develop.”
