4.31pm Play has been abandoned for the day due to unfit and unsafe conditions. Water has risen to the surface in key areas, where there has been most activity, including the bowlers run ups.
3.23pm Following another inspection, areas of the playing surface have been deemed unfit and unsafe. A further inspection will follow.
Tea Report Tea has been taken early at Emerald Headingley following a nasty left leg injury for Dom Leech whilst trying to field a ball in front of the Western Terrace.
Leech slipped trying to save the boundary running around from wide long-on towards deep mid-wicket and collided with the concrete foundation of the stand.
He was treated for approximately 15 minutes by both the Yorkshire and Lancashire medical teams before umpires Ian Gould and Nigel Llong called an early tea.
The umpires then inspected the bowlers run up at the Emerald Stand end of the ground, though not the area where Leech suffered the injury.
In the 7.2 overs of play since lunch, Lancashire advanced from 359-2 to 411-2, with Wells on 97. Josh Bohannon has 74.
2.38pm Tea has been taken after Dom Leech’s injury. It came as he slipped on wet ground beyond the boundary rope. Lancashire are 413-2 with Luke Wells 99.
2.32pm Play yet to resume as the physios and medics attend to Dom Leech, who has injured his left leg having slipped into the concrete base of the Western Terrace.
2.24pm We have a delay here as Dom Leech is treated for an injury having tried to field a ball on the boundary in front of the Western Terrace and has lost his footing and fallen into the railing. Lancashire 411-2.
1.55pm Lancashire have moved to 359-2 in the early stages of the afternoon. Wells 71 and Bohannon 52. They are two of four players who have posted half-centuries in this innings. Jennings and Davies were the others.
The same four all went to 50 or beyond in the reverse fixture at Old Trafford as well.
Wells and Bohannon have just brought up their century stand.
Lunch Report Yorkshire missed out on a single bowling bonus point as play got underway at 12pm on day three against Lancashire at Emerald Headingley.
Lancashire advanced from 273-2 in 96 overs to 342-2 in 110 and later reached lunch at 346-2 from 112.
Luke Wells and Josh Bohannon both reached their fifties during the 70-minute morning session and will begin after lunch on 63 and 51 respectively.
Play was washed out one day two and delayed by an hour today due to a wet outfield.
Bohannon was dropped on 11 by Harry Brook at first slip off Dom Leech this morning, with Wells dropped on 31 at second slip by Adam Lyth late on Sunday’s opening day.
Lancashire finished with three batting bonus points to Yorkshire’s none for bowling.
It is expected that Lancashire will push on for a short period of batting after lunch before trying to put Yorkshire under pressure with the ball.
An allotted 88 overs are due in the day, and we have bowled 16 of them.

9.52am There has nothing official from the umpires yet, but putting two and two together from the scene at Headingley it looks like we’re in for a delayed start.
There are no warm-ups taking place, and the umpires have just been in discussions with both Steve Patterson and Lancashire coach Glen Chapple.
*Good morning from Emerald Headingley.**
The scene is much, much brighter here ahead of day three, thankfully.
The covers are off and the ground staff are doing a bit of mopping up. The players haven’t started their warm-ups yet.
Lancashire will resume on 273-2 in their first innings with 14 overs remaining for bonus points. Yorkshire could do with a clatter of wickets this morning to gain hopefully two bowling points for six wickets. That would seem the most realistic.
The stream will be available when we get away, hopefully at 11am. We will keep you updated.
