3.07pm Hampshire have won by seven wickets. Vince finishes unbeaten on 43 and Gubbins 20. They claim their eighth win of the season to maintain their title challenge. Yorkshire suffer their third defeat of 2022 and claim three points.

2.44pm Hampshire have moved to 184-3 in the 53rd over, needing 30 to win. Vince has 25 and Gubbins 12.

2.15pm WICKET Weatherley trapped lbw by Coad, 0. Hampshire are 147-3 in the 45th. 214 target, still needing 67.

1.53pm WICKET Holland caught at first slip by Kohler-Cadmore off Coad, 71. Hampshire 135-1 in the 39th over with the target of 214.

1.42pm Early stages of the afternoon and Organ has reached his fifty off 104 balls. Hampshire are 125-0 in the opening over of the afternoon. 214 target.

Lunch Report Yorkshire have been on the wrong end of a wicketless fourth morning as Hampshire confidently and quickly reel in their target of 214 on day four to win at Scarborough.

Openers Ian Holland and Felix Organ have advanced the title-chasers from 9-0 from three overs overnight to 121-0 from 35 overs at lunch as they close in on a 20-point haul.

Yorkshire’s seamers have been unable to build pressure under an overcast sky, with Holland and Organ scoring runs with regularity on both sides of the wicket.

Holland will begin the afternoon on 68 and Organ 49.

While Hampshire are chasing an eighth win in 11 games to potentially go level on points with leaders Surrey at the top of Division One, Yorkshire are bidding to avoid a third defeat in 10 games this season. In fact, it would be a third defeat in their last four games.

Holland reached a 92-ball fifty during the latter stages of the morning, shortly after Organ had been the beneficiary of Jonny Tattersall missing a tough stumping chance off Dom Bess with him on 37.

Holland then uppercut Jordan Thompson over third to take his side to 99-0.

1pm – Lunch Yorkshire need a special afternoon with the ball to pull this game out of the fire after Hampshire reached the break at 121-0 after 35 overs chasing 214. Holland 68 and Organ 49.

12.44pm Holland reaches his fifty off 92 balls, taking Hampshire to 93-0 in the 31st over. They are chasing 214.

12.20pm Not the morning Yorkshire were hoping for. Yorkshire’s seamers haven’t been able to apply significant pressure. Hampshire are 74-0 chasing 214.

11.56am Bess into the attack for Yorkshire as Hampshire reach 51-0 after 17 overs chasing 214. Holland 26 and Organ 25. First over of spin for the hosts in the fixture.

11.24am Hampshire are 32-0 after 10 overs, seven of which have been bowled this morning. They need 182 more to win.

11.04am We’re up and running at Scarborough. Hampshire are yet to add to their overnight 9-0 as they chase 214. Thompson and Coad have taken up the attack for Yorkshire.

10.27am Scarborough’s South African all-rounder Breidyn Schaper is currently bowling his left-arm spinners in the nets at Yorkshire’s batters as they prepare for next week’s RL50 competition.

Schaper has enjoyed an excellent season with the bat in this season’s YPL North, scoring 763 runs from 15 matches, including three hundreds. He has also taken 25 wickets.

9.56am Matthew Fisher is also out there gently walking through his bowling action as he fights back to fitness from his stress fracture.

9.46am George Hill is batting in the nets against the white ball, preparing for next week’s Royal London Cup campaign. Yorkshire have a National Counties friendly against Northumberland at Gosforth (South North CC) on Sunday.

8.45am Let us have a look around the grounds before we get going. There are plenty of interesting finishes in the offing. The first score mentioned isn’t one of them.

Match Report.

Jonny Tattersall.

Good morning from North Marine Road, where it is an overcast morning ahead of day four.

To be honest, that is far from a bad thing considering Yorkshire have ball in hand today bidding to beat Hampshire and claim win number two from game number 10 in the LV= Insurance County Championship.

Hampshire are chasing 214 and reached close last night at 9-0.

Yorkshire have a ball only three overs old, and if they can pick up maybe four wickets this morning then they will have a great chance of the win against a Hampshire side who sit second in the table and are challenging Surrey for the title.

Openers Felix Organ and Ian Holland are the unbeaten batters.

We will have a live stream available once more. That will be up and running via the Match Centre tab at the top of this page.

We are all set for an 11am start. Enjoy the day.
