Good morning from Weetwood, where it is pretty chilly but sunny nonetheless, and we are all set for the start of Yorkshire’s summer. We take on the students of Leeds/Bradford MCC Universities in a three-day first-class fixture, starting at 11am.
Leeds/Bradford were beaten by Derbyshire at Derby last week and should include former Yorkshire youngster Johnny Read.
Duanne Olivier is all set to debut for the White Rose, and his first wicket will be the 400th of his first-class career.
We missed out on this fixture last year due to the Beast from the East, but there are no such weather issues this week.
It’s good to be back. Enjoy the game and the summer.
