The new look Yorkshire Women are excited to announce the signing of seam bowler Grace Hall on a two-year contract.

The fast bowler from York has two seasons of regional cricket under her belt with the Northern Diamonds after coming through the Yorkshire age-groups and making her senior county debut in 2020.

Hall, 21, has variations aplenty in the bowling department and is a handy lower order batter. Most of her success with the Diamonds came in her debut 2023 campaign after she claimed 21 wickets in 15 appearances across both T20 and 50-over cricket.

Hall, who recently graduated from Sheffield Hallam University, and is a former Yorkshire Cricket College student, has returned from an ankle ligament injury she sustained in the latter half of the summer.

On signing her maiden professional contract Hall said: “I’m very proud to have signed for Yorkshire.

“This is my first professional contract, and it’s with my home county, where I’ve played cricket since I was 11 years old. As a kid, I used to go to all the Yorkshire v Lancashire T20 Blast games. That was in our family routine.

“I’ve had an amazing time representing the Diamonds for the last two years and have made some life-long friends. But, at the same time, I’m so excited to fully represent Yorkshire and almost get back to my roots.

“I’ve finished my degree now, and I’ve got my dream job straight out of Uni. I don’t think it’s really sunk in yet.

“Instead of sharing my time with doing both, which I’ve done for the last two years with the Diamonds, I can fully focus on my cricket. It’s really exciting.”

Yorkshire Women’s Head Coach Richard Pyrah said: “We’re delighted for Grace to sign her first professional contract, it’s one of the proudest moments in your career – and you can see that excitement.

“Grace has put in the hard work to return to fitness following her injury, and we’re looking forward to helping her develop her all-round game.

“She has a unique bowling skillset and for the future we believe she could be a real threat and one to watch in the squad.

“Her determination and attributes are a perfect fit for this squad, and we all believe that she will only improve further by working with the coaching staff and team here.”

Everyone at Yorkshire Cricket would like to welcome Grace to the Club and wish her the very best of luck with Yorkshire Women.
