Georgie Boyce has joined Yorkshire on loan from Midlands-outfit The Blaze for the 2025 Vitality Blast.

Boyce will go straight into the team for the Vitality Blast opener against Derbyshire at Headingley on Sunday

The 26-year-old has scored 1974 runs across 97 T20 matches with a high score of 96*. She has significant experience having started her career in 2013 with Nottinghamshire, later playing for Lancashire Women/Thunder as well as appearing for the Manchester Originals in The Hundred.

Right-hander Boyce is versatile and is as comfortable batting at three as she is opening up the innings.

“I’m really excited by this opportunity to play at Yorkshire and I’m looking forward to being a part of the Club”, said Boyce.

“Having played against a few of the girls in the past, I know that the squad is full of talent and I’m confident I can add to that and help the team compete in the Blast.”

Rich Pyrah, Head Coach of Yorkshire Women was delighted to secure the services of Boyce, saying “Georgie is a very experienced cricketer for someone her age and we wanted to move quickly to get her onboard ahead of Sunday.

“That experience will be key, particularly at the top of the order.

“Everyone in the team is delighted to have Georgie with us for what will be a competitive tournament and one we’re looking forward to immensely.”
