Jared Warner was the one who broke my thumb, and we’re thinking of revoking his membership of the fast bowlers’ union as a result!

We were netting at Loughborough just before the lads flew out to Potchefstroom, and he got me on the end of the right thumb with a bouncer.

Jaz is quick, and he is one of our young bowlers who I would be keeping an eye out for this summer. He could easily make his first-team debut.

It’s disappointing that I’ve picked up this injury, although it’s not as bad as the broken thumb suffered by James Logan out in Potch. He had to have surgery. We all wish him well and hope his recovery goes to plan and that he still gets to play a lot of cricket this summer.

I have a splint on now, so it means I have been able to start bowling again. It has probably set me back a week or two from when I would have expected to be fit from my back injury, and hopefully I should be playing again in three weeks.
