The Yorkshire County Cricket Club is pleased to announce that Claudie Cooper has signed a new one-year contract extension.
Her new contract will see her remain at the Club until at least the end of 2027.
The off-spinner, who joined from Surrey in 2024 ahead of the dawn of the new domestic structure, played a key role at Yorkshire last season as Rich Pyrah’s squad won the Metro Bank One Day Cup 2.
Cooper, 23, claimed 34 wickets across both domestic competitions in 2025, with a best return of 3-22. She also memorably took a stunning catch off her own bowling against Essex in the ECB County Cup.
Her new deal for the Guildford-native caps off a winter which saw her drafted into the Hundred by the new Sunrisers Leeds franchise.
On signing her new contract, Cooper said, “I’m really thrilled to have signed this extension.
“Yorkshire has become a second home for me and what we started to build last year was so impressive. We’ve made some strong signings over the winter, and I’m excited to get going with the group and take on Tier 1.
“I feel my game has really progressed and I’ve worked hard in the off-season. It’s now about implementing that on the pitch.”
Gavin Hamilton, General Manager of Cricket added: “Claudie has shown time and time again how dependable she can be for us, whether that be opening the bowling in T20 or keeping it tight in those key middle overs in List A cricket.
“She has developed with real maturity during her time here, and I know how eager she is to put into practice everything she has worked on over the off-season. She’s also a fantastic presence in the dressing room and brings valuable experience despite her relatively young age.
“We’re all delighted to see her sign this new contract extension and we’re excited to see what she delivers this year.”
