The Yorkshire County Cricket Club are delighted to announce that Aagrah Restaurant Group have become an official Club Partner for the 2018 season.

Following his arrival in Yorkshire last week, Indian Test batsman Cheteshwar Pujara dropped into Aagrah’s Leeds branch along with First XI Coach Andrew Gale and Club Captain Gary Ballance to help launch the new partnership.

Established 40 years ago, Aagrah is an independent family owned business with 12 branches across Yorkshire. It also has The Midpoint Suite, a conference and banqueting centre, seating 450 people. Their popular range of Tarka cooking sauces are available in Asda and Co-Op Food.

As part of the agreement, Aagrah will diversify the Club’s catering options for Second Test Match between England and Pakistan in June, and the visit of India in the Third Royal London One Day International at Emerald Headingley in July.

A bespoke Aagrah retail unit will also be available at Yorkshire Vikings’ Vitality Blast fixtures, selling their popular range of street food. Aagrah will be the headline sponsor of Yorkshire Vikings versus Northants Steelbacks on Friday 3rd August. As part of the sponsorship, a range of curries will be available to ticket buyers from Aagrah’s retail unit, with “Curry Night” hospitality packages available for the game.

As Emerald Headingley Stadium looks to diversify its range of catering options, Aagrah Restaurant Group believe that this partnership will be key for the group’s brand growth strategy by targeting a global audience.

Mohammed Aslam, Aagrah Managing Director said: “I am delighted to revive this partnership. We last did this with YCCC back in 2007 for the Bollywood Indian international Film Academy (IiFA). We are excited to be partnering with a firm whose vision shares our strategy for a youthful, innovative sport that promotes fair competition and healthy living.”

Mark Arthur, The Yorkshire County Cricket Club Chief Executive added: “On behalf of all at The Yorkshire County Cricket Club we would like to thank the Aagrah Restaurant Group for their continued support and coming on board as an official club partner for the next 12 months. This is a coming together of two big Yorkshire brands and considering Aagrah’s geographical spread it’s a perfect fit for us.

“We look forward to enjoying a fruitful relationship with one of the region’s most renowned restaurant groups and a business very proud of their Yorkshire roots.”
