Lockie Ferguson is a fast bowler with significant limited overs international experience under his belt with New Zealand.

An Aucklander who impressed greatly during the 2019 ICC Cricket World Cup in England, when the BlackCaps reached the final, Ferguson is no stranger to county cricket having represented Derbyshire in 2018.

He represented the East Midlands club in County Championship and T20 cricket that summer, taking 34 wickets in 18 outings, including 16 wickets from 13 in the Blast.

This summer, the 29-year-old has signed a deal to play for Yorkshire in the Vitality Blast only. He will turn 30 just a few days into his Vikings career in June.

Ferguson has extra pace, similar to Duanne Olivier in that sense.

He made his first-class, List A and T20 debuts for Auckland in 2013, 2015 and 2014 respectively.

He has represented New Zealand across all three formats, including a solitary Test Match against Australia at Perth in December 2019. Unfortunately, he suffered a calf injury during the second session of the first day and only bowled 11 overs in the game.

He has played 37 ODIs and eleven T20s for his country since first being capped in 2016, meaning his next appearance will be his 50th international cap.

Ferguson has been a regular in the Indian Premier League over the last few years, representing Rising Pune Supergiant and, most recently, the Kolkata Knight Riders.
